Humboldt and large parts of east-central Saskatchewan should brace for another blast of rain Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement in effect for Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan and Foam Lake.

Rain is beginning in the southwest already as of 6 o'clock Wednesday. Environment Canada Meteorologist Mike McDonald says it will arrive before lunch in our region.

"It will then continue on through out the afternoon and into the evening hours. There should be a fair amount of rain embedded in this band, lots of moisture being wrapped up in this system."

Upwards of 45 mm of precipitation is forecasted.

"It looks like a pretty good chance of steady rain right from the late morning hours through the mid-evening hours, your not going to escape this one."

McDonald says as is disperses eastward a band of warm air will follow from Alberta bringing sunshine and temperatures back into the mid-20's by the end of the work week.
