Beatrice Elizabeth Saretsky
June 30, 1927 – February 27, 2018

Beatrice (nee Stroeder) (Doyscher) Saretsky of St. Mary’s Villa, Humboldt, SK passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.  She was 90 years of age.  Beatrice Elizabeth Stroeder was born June 30, 1927 to Fred and Margaret (nee Weber) Stroeder at their home in the Marysburg District.  She took her education at Bright Valley School.  Beatrice married Albert Doyscher on October 12, 1948, and they raised a family of five children. Beatrice and Albert lived in Lake Lenore until 1955 at which time they moved to St. James. In 1978 they relocated to Humboldt and in 1982 Beatrice joined the pastoral care team at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital along with taking care of Albert until he passed away in 1989. Beatrice also was involved in spiritual care at St. Mary’s Villa.  She enjoyed gardening, and loved flowers, especially red roses and orchids as well as birds, above all the hummingbirds. On June 8, 1996 Beatrice married Albert Saretsky, they had been married for 20 years until Albert passed away in 2017. Beatrice was blessed with 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Beatrice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Carol (Ralph) Hillis Becker; Theresa (Glenn) Fortosky; Eric Doyscher; Brian (Joanne) Doyscher; and Keith (Sandra) Doyscher; brother Ernest (Bernice) Stroeder; sister Genevive Doherty; and sister-in-law Louise Stroeder.  Beatrice was predeceased by her parents Fred and Margaret (nee Weber) Stroeder; first husband Albert Doyscher; second husband Albert Saretsky; siblings: Ralph, David, Herbert, Marie (deceased in childhood) Alfred, Arnold (Emily); and brother-in-law John Doherty.  A Funeral Mass was offered on Saturday March 3, 2018 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, SK at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Joseph Salihu.  Others taking part were: Ray Gehlen, crossbearer; Marion Suer and Greg Marquis, scripture readers; Carmen Dressler, Amy Doyscher and Ashley Bouchard, giftbearers; Rose Verlage, intentions; Loretta Schugmann as director with organist Marie Aubin and members of St. Augustine Parish Funeral Choir, music ministry; Keith Doyscher, eulogist.  Honorary pallbearers were “All those who shared in Beatrice’s life.”  An honor guard was formed by members of the CWL.  Interment followed at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery, Humboldt, SK.  Memorial Donations may be directed to St. Mary’s Villa Foundation, P.O.
