The Watrous Wildcats 6 man football team did not disappoint in their home opener last night.
Watrous topped the Wynyard Golden Bears by a score of 70-42. Wynyard led at the half by a score of 20-14.
It wasn't till the third quarter where the Wildcats would not only take the lead but also score 24 straight points. Wynyard suffered more than a loss as one of their veteran players went down with a lower-body injury in the second half.
The Wildcats look to go 2-0 next Friday as they host Caronport. Also, Wynyard will look to get back on track next Friday in their home opener as they host Assiniboia.
