The Reid-Thompson Public Library is preparing to host another local author reading.

Terry Brown, CPA, FCPA, is a Saskatchewan-born author. After marrying his wife, Rita, they moved to the Northwest Territories where they raised their family for a few years. In 2010 they returned to the prairies, settling in Humboldt.

During that time, Brown developed a passion for historical research and ancestry and has assisted many people to find the whereabouts of several WWII deceased veterans who were listed as missing in action.

Terry has since travelled over 9000 km of backroads while looking for adventure and photographed many of Saskatchewan’s ghost towns. His collection of photographs has been compiled into his book Blowing in the Wind: Ghost Towns on the Saskatchewan Grid.

He will tell stories of his adventures at the Reid Thompson Public Library on Wednesday, April 19 at 6:30 pm. The reading is free for everyone to participate in.
