Schulte Industries in Englefeld had another successful Farm Progress Show in Regina this year.

The show featured booths from all over Saskatchewan and Canada to help improve the farming industry.

Hal Carnago from Schulte says there was some change this year compared to years passed.

"It was really good this year, we had a lot of domestic travel, crops are looking good. Schulte has moved into a new arena, they shared half the arena with Honeybee manufacturing."

Schulte has been attending the FPS since it's inauguration around 40 years ago. Carnago explains why it is important to attend the show every year.

"We can showcase our new products and we can also showcase our products to international guests that maybe are unfamiliar with our farming practices in Saskatchewan and western Canada. It's a very good opportunity for the children in schools to come and actually see the products and see what makes Saskatchewan tick on the agricultural side."

They did unveil a new line of products during the 2016 show.

"It's got a seven foot grate on it, so a very wide grate, the largest hopper capacity of any rock picker on the market" Carnago said of the Titan 5000 rock picker. "Basically the reason we came up with this model is because the farms are getting bigger in western Canada and we felt the farmers needed to spend more time picking rocks in the field and less time running to the dump site."

They also unveiled two new mowers, the FX-107 and FX-209 as well as their new SV-14T folding V snow removal blade.

More than 45,000 people from over 50 attend each year to see what's new in agriculture.

Schulte Industries has around 25 dealerships in the province, including the dealership in Englefeld that has been in business over 60 years. They also employ over 130 people.
