On April 2nd, at around 5 PM, Humboldt RCMP conducted a traffic stop which resulted in a 24-year-old Saskatoon woman being arrested and charged.

Having received some complaints about an erratic driver on Highway 5 west, RCMP officers were dispatched. Upon conducting the traffic stop, officers found the woman to be in breach of terms of her probation. The officers then attempted to take her into custody, where a physical altercation ensued. Cst. Geoff Applegate with the Humboldt RCMP detailed the encounter.

"As a result of the incident, she has been charged with assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, two counts of breach of probation, as well as resisting arrest. Also, she was charged with driving without a valid drivers license, under the Traffic Safety Act."

She was eventually taken into police custody and appeared in court on April 3rd.
