If your barbecue is still buried under a three-foot drift in the backyard, fear not. The Muenster Elks will be on hand to satisfy that early spring seared steak craving. The annual Muenster Elks Steak Supper is on April 22 at the Muenster Community Centre. Have a look at the newly refurbished centre, meet with friends and family, and enjoy the culinary delights provided by the Elks.

“Our menu is our traditional 12-ounce New York striploin, cooked to perfection, potatoes, salads, homemade desserts,” says Gord Kiefer, chief procurer of beef. “Everything is just tremendous again.”

It’s the 27th year for the Steak Supper, so you can be assured the chefs have the recipes down pat. Over those years, the Muenster Elks have raised thousands of dollars that have found their way to various local charities.

“The funds from the supper have always gone to the Muenster / Humboldt area,” explains Kiefer, “We’ve supported school projects, parks, the Villa, the hospital, families in need. This year we’re helping a local family. This year, we’re helping out a local family with medical expense needs. All the money stays at home.”

It’s a great way to blow off the winter dust and have some fun, along with a great value packed meal. Tickets are available at Uptown Barber Shop and the Muenster Co-op.
