Since Halloween falls on a Sunday this year, and most area communities have made no other alternate dates for trick or treating fun, motorists can expect ghouls and goblins out in the streets throughout the day and evening. Motorists are advised to take extra caution on Halloween Sunday and watch out for unexpected pedestrians in the street.

From the COVID safety standpoint, the provincial government has outlined some suggestions:

  • Stick with your own household or small group of close friends.
  • Wash hands before enjoying any treats.
  • Wear a mask while collecting or providing treats.
  • Anyone not feeling well should stay home and not hand out candy.
  • Only give out and accept individually wrapped, store-bought treats.

The Government of Saskatchewan reminds citizens that public health orders remain in effect for all Halloween celebrations, particularly those gatherings that may be happening indoors.

A reminder that due to COVID-19, some people may not be partcipating in giving out treats this year.
