Carlton Trail College has announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. Elan Buan and Nathan Gregg were appointed by the Government of Saskatchewan’s Executive Council.

A statement by Carlton Trail College says both bring policy, governance and educational sector experience to the institution.

“We’re pleased with the appointments of Elan and Nathan to our Board,” said Board Chairperson, Sandy Flory. “Representation from our east-central region is important, and we know that their knowledge and expertise will only help strengthen our approach as well as advance our mission to the communities we serve.”

Buan resides in Humboldt and is the owner of Schollie Research & Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in strategic services, marketing research and organizational consulting. With over 20 years of experience working with private and public sector clients, including many in the educational field, Elan brings sector knowledge, change management and strategic initiatives insight to the College’s Board of Directors.

Nathan Gregg brings extensive experience in agriculture through his work with the Prairie Agriculture Machinery Institute (PAMI). His background in project management, budgeting and relationship-building skills all stem from his work with industry partners and different levels of government. He operates a grain farm with family members and provides custom field services to local producers.

Buan and Gregg were both appointed to three-year terms.
