The Humboldt Broncos put on a showcase of their own in Warman yesterday with an all out offensive leading to a 10 - 3 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Benjamin Motew got his time to shine in net, facing 24 shots while the Broncos doubled that output with 47.

La Ronge forward Dylan McCormick opened the scoring and that brought the Broncos to life as Ethan Zielke and Ben Kotylak netted one each in the first. Bronco newcomers Maddow Amaral, Timothy Kim and Xavier Roy connected on the power play in the opening 2 minutes of the second period. The Broncos served up four power play goals through the game, while proving effective on the penalty kill allowing only one goal on 7 Wolves’  power play attempts.

A minute later, captain Ethan Zielke did what he does best, took matters into his own hands and potted his second goal unassisted. Zielke would polish off the hat trick at 8:42 in the third with the assistance of Alec Saretsky and Damon Byers. Ontario import Maddox Amaral also made his mark with two goals in the third for a hat trick. Other goal scorers for the Broncos included Lucas Ceccarelli, unassisted on the power play and Chase Lacombe, who also found the mark unassisted.

The Broncos face off against the Estevan Bruins tonight at 7:30 in their final Showcase appearance for 2022, with the game being carried on SaskTel Max.
