Back to Batoche Days, the annual four-day gathering that celebrates Metis culture and history, is on from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21. The Batoche Grounds at the National Historic Site welcomes one and all starting with the opening ceremony at 10:00 am which includes a procession involving Elders, Metis Nation Governing Council members, and federal and provincial dignitaries.

During the opening ceremonies, a series of announcements revolving around a First Time Home Buyers and Home Renovations Programs for Metis citizens. Other scheduled announcements will address post-secondary education and Memoranda of Agreement on Ile a la Crosse Boarding School and with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The four days, sponsored by Metis Nation-Saskatchewan, will also be filled with traditional activities, food, entertainment and sporting events.
