If you’re into live theatre and a good mystery, then the Humboldt Theatre Club has a veritable labyrinth of twists and turns to entertain you this weekend. The club is putting on , a British intrigue piece, on October 25 and 26 at the Gathering Place.

Director Sarah Miller explains that the tangle centres around a London writer, Max Telligan, who becomes entangled with a terrorist organization and finds himself a sudden mark.

“The whole thing turns into a murder mystery because no one knows which of the characters is the leader of the terror organization.”

The nine-member cast has a turn at delivering the kind of dry British comedy to be expected by a playwright like Francis Durbridge. Max Telligan’s estranged wife makes an appearance with much of the comedy resulting from their tense dialogue.

Throw a golf professional and a Texan CIA agent into the mix, the play promises to deliver a host of thrilling surprises until the final reveal.

The curtain goes up on A Touch of Danger at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 25 and at 1:30 and 6:30 on October 26 at the Gathering Place.
