It was just over a week ago where two local teams took part in the Football Provincial Finals in the area.

The Humboldt Mohawks and the Wakaw Warriors were both held to the Provincial silver, but despite the loss, it was a good day of football in both Humboldt and Wakaw. It was a day that left fans tossing and turning the night before the matchups.

As for myself, I was out with some friends the night before and got home a little later than expected. I knew I would have time to sleep in since the games didn't start till 1 P.M. It turns out I was mistaken as the snow came down all throughout the night and into the morning.

I was later awakened by my brother at 8 A.M which was an hour or two less sleep than I would've liked. My brother said we had to get to the school ASAP because the field needed to be cleaned off after the heavy snowfall. We got out to the field as fast as we could and managed to clean the whole field in time for the game.

I'm sure there were others that had to do the same to prepare for the big game. Even though I was tired after a short sleep, I able to enjoy a jam-packed day of football.
