Local artists have a wonderful opportunity to connect with celebrated portrait artist Carol Wylie in a workshop setting on Saturday, April 27.

Portraiture is one of the most challenging and rewarding subjects to draw. Portrait artist Carol Wylie (whose exhibit, They didn't know we were seeds, is on display at the Gallery until April 26) will cover facial anatomy, how to strengthen accuracy in rendering a portrait and build 3-dimensional form in a 2-dimensional space. Capturing personality and development of a personal style of drawing will be discussed.

The cost is $20 per person, and all materials are provided. All levels of experience are welcome.

The workshop is from 10:00am to 1:00pm with no break for lunch, but feel free to bring a snack. Call 306-682-5226 or email info@humboldtmuseum.ca to register.
