Children from the ages seven to 14 attended a summer camp last week where they put on a production of Robin Hood at the Marysburg Hall.

Coordinator Rita Frank says it went very well.

"They were just fantastic. They had lots of fun, they built their own set, they learned the music and the words and by Friday they had it all undergo."

The camp, now in its fifth year, is quite the learning experience as Frank explains.

"We hold it every summer and the children come for a day camp and in a week they put together a whole performance of musical theatre."

She goes on to tell us that the funds from the performance is what keeps the camp coming back every year.

"It's through the Marysburg Centre of the Arts. And that's set up to promote music. Basically to encourage and promote music and especially this camp was to promote music to young children. It gives them the opportunity to come sing, have fun, enjoy and learn."

The camp got underway on the August 14 with the performance of Robin Hood taking place last Friday.
