For the first time ever, High Impact Wrestling is set to entertain Humboldt.

On Friday night as part of the Summer Sizzler, the High Impact roster will make their debut in the city, performing for 300 people at Jubilee Hall.

"It's live, hard-hitting entertainment," says Mike Roberts with High Impact. "There's nothing else like it. You think soap opera, but a really testosterone fuelled soap opera. There's really nothing like seeing it live."

Roberts says that a trip to this part of the province has long been on the company's wishlist, and they're excited to finally make it happen.

"Humboldt has actually been on our radar for quite a while. It just has never come to pass, but the fine folks of Summer Sizzler asked if we wanted to be a part of it, and we were all over it."

High Impact is one of the oldest, continuously active professional wrestling companies in Canada, according to Roberts.

"We've been around for just about 20 years and are one of the busiest touring companies in the country. We run about 60 live events a year, and we feature the biggest stars in the country."

One of those stars is Alexander Prime, who will be making the trek to Humboldt.

"He's one of the hottest prospects in the country. 19 years old, he's an absolute phenomenon. I've never seen an athlete quite like him," said Roberts. "You're gonna see guys like Jacob Creed, the Greatest Country Rebel and Dixie Dragon - two big tough cowboys, they like pounding people, and Bull Bodnar."

Also making an appearance at the show will be Prime's biggest rival, the man with the longest name, Michael Allen Richard Clark.

"There's going to be some heated rivalries coming to Humboldt. It will be a good card to see," noted Roberts.

As of Wednesday morning, tickets were 50% sold out for the show, which begins at 7:00pm.
