Wholesale trade numbers continue to rise in Saskatchewan, as October numbers were up 3.6 percent over September.

It was the highest percentage increase across Canada, said the province on Friday. Nationally, the rate saw a slight decline of 0.6 percent.

Overall, wholesale trade totaled $2.4 billion throughout October.

"Given the current economic uncertainties around resources, it is very encouraging to note that wholesale trade is hitting record levels in the province," stated Economy Minister Bill Boyd. "We were one of only three provinces to see month-over-month increases which speaks to the diversity and the strength of our economy."

Year-to-year, wholesale trade was up 1.9 percent from last October.
