The wheels on the bus wouldn't be going round and round without those who take the time out of their day get children to and from school safely.

Bus driver Appreciation Day took place this past Monday throughout the province of Saskatchewan.

Parents all around Humboldt and surrounding area rely on those who drive their children to and from school each and every day. School Bus drivers not only help get children to the desired destination but also are a strong influence for children at a young age.

"It was through Facebook because Horizon (School Division) had posted it, then some of the parents just kept sending messages, saying thank for driving our kids, thanks for being there for them and it felt really good," said Cheryl Lorenz, who has been a school bus driver for 4 years now.

Each bus driver has there very own route they take each morning to help the children get to school on time as a school bus driver works about 4-5 hours a day.
