A special weather warning has been put in effect in the Humboldt area.

Amanda Prysizney, with Environment Canada, says residents should be prepared to encounter gusting winds, up to 80km/hr in the next 24 hours.

Saskatchewan has been experiencing unseasonably warmer temperatures, and strong westerly winds are expected to follow, coming in from Alberta.

There is also a chance of seeing some freezing rain and snow Sunday evening.

Prysizny recommends securing any loose articles on one's property and take precautions to avoid damage from the wind gusts.
