The Watson Community Club is sending out a call for all ladies to join them Saturday night for a fun evening out, as they hold their annual Ladies Night Out.

Since 2000, the club has held the night, giving ladies an opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves for a night, according to President Judy Schmid.

"We see it as an opportunity to unwind, step outside the box of your daily routine, spend an evening with close friends and enjoy an evening of fun and laughter."

The evening starts at 5:30pm, with supper being at 7:00. There will be entertainment from James Williams following the meal.

Being that this year's event is the day after St. Patrick's Day, Schmid says it was an easy decision to play off the day for their theme.

"We went ahead with the idea of Green is the Colour, making it easy for someone who has green in their wardrobe. We may experience Rider Pride, because as you know, we have multitudes of fans across our community."

Each year, the club awards local organizations with funds to assist their projects, and Schmid says that this event is typically one of their largest contributions to their year-end handouts.

"Net proceeds are awarded to local community projects at the end of our fiscal year in June," she explained. "Our ladies night has been one of our major events of the year that helps enable us to contribute to community projects."

Last year, they handed out $13,000 to groups from the area.

Tickets for the Ladies Night Out are available in advance only at a cost of 40 dollars and can be purchased at Watson Pharmasave or by calling Schmid at 306-287-9401
