The Watson Community Club has dispersed their funds to a number of organizations in their town.

The group holds a number of events through out the year raising money, they then divide them up after an application process.

President Judy Schmid explains more.

"We start over the year with all our community projects, the net funding all goes towards these grants, our list this year is a little longer than usual."

She says they don't particularly have requirements but they do look into the groups' services and needs.

"We have a deadline and once we get all the applications in we kind of go accordingly to the needs that each club is requesting."

Essentially it's a just a couple well supported events that raise the money. Schmid says they always receive strong support.

"We do our arts and crafts sale in November which is a huge one for us, we usually net a reasonable profit off that. We also have our ladies night which is usually in February or March, we always have good support with that."

They do have a walk-a-thon as well that the kids in the town like to get involved with while they raise pledges.

Here's a list of their 2017 recipients and the amount they received in no particular order:

Watson arena-$2,000
