The Watrous Kinsmen have made a very significant donation to the Watrous Elementary School this past week, to keep up with annual costs accumulated by the school.

$2800.00 was the grand total, with $2500.00 going towards sports equipment, and $300.00 to the school safety patrol program. Pat Borsa, Principal of Watrous Elementary School was delighted to announce that the school would have new equipment for two of it's most attended programs.

"It is going to benefit all of our students because all of our students use the gym equipment on a daily basis," Borsa stated. "With a school of over 240 kids you go through equipment every year, and it just gets to be a bit too much to replace on our own."

He also went into detail about the safety patrol program, "Safety patrollers are out daily after school as well as in the morning." Borsa added, "even though we are a town, our location on Main Street tends to be a busy one at both of those times, so our safety patrol program is vital to our school."

The gym equipment portion was used for wear and tear on balls and other equipment, and the safety patrol part was used for whistles, vests, as well as their yearly wind-up.

Watrous Kinsmen retain relationships with countless organizations in Watrous. They were more than happy to make the donation.
