Watrous residents are supporting Telemiracle 41 in a unique way.

The Watrous Kinettes are holding a "Toilet for Telemiracle" fundraiser, where a toilet circles Watrous.

If the toilet lands on your lawn, you have 24 hours to decide whether or not to donate, with the toilet sitting on your lawn in the process.

Haley Ruether is from the Watrous Kinettes.

She talks about how it all works.

"We sold insurance for immunity, not to get the Toilet on your lawn, in November. Then, on November 28th, we started placing toilets on people's lawns. You have 3 options once the toilet gets on your lawn; you can either not donate and we'll leave it there for 24 hours, donate any amount to Telemiracle and we'll move it for you, or if you donate $20 or more you get to pick the next person to be the victim."

Ruether explains it's been a success so far.

"We didn't really know what to expect, but the response from the community has been overwhelming so far, and we've had a lot of fun, so we're excited to roll out our number in a few weeks."

Ruether describes how more people can get involved.

"People can get involved by contacting the Watrous Kinettes, or following the trail of toilets on our Watrous Telemiracle fundraiser page at 'Watrous Loves Telemiracle'."

The fundraiser will return in January after a two week break over the end of December.

Insurance to avoid having the toilet put on your lawn may also be purchased by donation to the Kinettes.
