Watrous Co-op employees did not hop on the Strike wagon on Thursday.

November 1st marked the day Saskatoon Co-op unionized employees would go on strike, except Watrous, which is now a part of the Saskatoon Co-op branch.

However, it's a different story in Watrous where unionized employees do not work at either the food store or gas bar. around 900 unionized Employees with the co-op saskatoon branch went on strike after rejecting the latest offer made by the company. The proposed offer was that new workers would make $4.60 less per hour than existing counterparts that are doing the same tasks.

Saskatoon Co-op stated in a media release, that the current wages range from 25 to 35 percent higher than competitors. Despite the strike, all Watrous Co-op stores will remain open for their regular hours.
