On Thursday night at the Christian Fellowship Church in Lanigan, a world traveling children's choir will take the stage.

The Wawoto Children's Choir is currently touring the globe and will bring their authentic African tones to the east-central Saskatchewan community.

"The choir has been touring the world since 1994," explains Christian Fellowship office administrator Sandra Benson. "They've been in Saskatchewan in various places, Saskatoon, Regina and that before and I guess their organizers just looked for some new places where they might not have been."

The church is taking a 'love offering' at the door with all proceeds going back to the choir.

Benson spoke about their message that they are trying to spread through the tour.

"There is so many children over there losing parents due to things like AIDS, war, drought. There is all these orphan children and these children have been found, some were abandoned and raised in Christian based orphanages so they travel bringing awareness."

Overall, despite the strong message, Benson expects a special evening of entertainment and faith.

"We have played some videos in church so the Sunday school kids can see whose coming, I know word has spread to all the dance groups and children that love singing that this is going to be a fun event. It's a great family evening."

The show begins at 7 o'clock.
