The City of Humboldt's watermain flushing program is continuing throughout the month.

The program was slightly delayed following a watermain leak that occurred prior to the August long weekend.

Flushing will be pushed back a week, and is now expected to conclude in the early days of September.

In July, the watermain flushing began, which is designed to clean out mineral deposits and sediment that has built up over time.

The city recommends not turning on taps or flushing toilets while the program is in your neighbourhood, as that could bring the sediment into your water pipes.

Blue door hangers are placed a week in advance of the program coming to your area.
