City council was updated on the status of the water distribution plant at their regular meeting on Monday night.

A repair is needed in reservoir two after the floor shifted due to water pressure.

Public Works Director Peter Bergquist said that council approved $125,000 for the repair, "It's one of those items that it would be in the city's best interest to proceed with as we can't use the reservoir until this is repaired and it's a significant amount of storage that we would be lacking and for the expense it is well worth the investment."

The project in it's entirety is going well at the water distribution plant sitting at 93.5% complete.

Council approved the repair and the price that comes with it explained Bergquist, "for that repair it is $92,000, however council approved an expenditure of $125,600 for several change orders which thankfully is only about 2.9% above the expected expenditure of the entire project."

The funds will be taken out of the city's utility reserves.

Residents are asked to remain cutting back on water as the water conservation advisory in the city will continue until atleast 2 of the 3 reservoirs are back in use.
