With unseasonably warm weather through the months of February and March the provincial Water Security Agency says this year's runoff is nearing completion in most regions including the Humboldt area.

The area to the north to the Manitoba border is just now getting into heavier snow melt but overall most areas are at "near normal levels."

The Hudson Bay area is the one region of concern for north-eastern Saskatchewan, the WSA is predicting "above normal" runoff for this spring.

Despite the warm March some concerns did arise with some areas receiving 50 millimetres of precipitation, that's 20 percent more than than average.

Wet conditions prior to the winter freeze also increased the odds of heavier runoff across southern Saskatchewan.

The WSA will continue to monitor the 2017 runoff and provide continued updates through their website.

The latest update was released Friday.
