The SHL Rural Pipeline Association is notifying the public of a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA).

Due to a power outage affecting the Humboldt-Wakaw Water Treatment Plant, service to SHL subscribers will temporarily be disrupted. Pressure loss in the lines has prompted the PDWA to be issued.

The advisory will last for a minimum of 72 hours.

In a statement, SHL thanked users for their cooperation and that an update will be issued as soon as the advisory is lifted.

You can visit their website for more information.

As of 9:00am on Sunday, the City of Humboldt will have a water advisory in place. When service is disrupted on the main line, Humboldt takes from their resevoir until an advisory is necessary.
