As of 9:00 this morning, the City of Humboldt will be under a precautionary drinking water advisory.

On Saturday, there was an outage at the Humboldt-Wakaw Water Treatment Plant, causing a disruption of service to users of the SHL Rural Pipeline.

Although power has been restored, it will take time for the water to be flowing normally and then it must be tested before the advisory is rescinded.

The advisory is expected to be lifted either Tuesday or Wednesday once proper testing can be done.
