Muenster held a co-ed Volleyball tournament over the weekend.

A little cash was on the line for the top three teams, with teams trying to win either 20%, 15% or 5% of the tournament fees.

Jewel Varga was a co-organizer of the tournament.

She talks about where the funds go towards.

"The funds are going to go towards supporting the Club teams we have in Muenster. We have four club teams in Muenster: 18U girls team, 17U girls team, 16U boys team, and a 14U girls team."

Varga describes the cost of getting into tournaments for club teams.

"Sask Cup tournaments cost us about $650 each a Sask Cup, and there's probably about three per division. Then, Provincials are about $800, and we all go to Provincials. Other tournaments run between $350 to $250."

Varga says participation in this year's tournament is up from last year.

"I think we're going to do again next year. It's a great fundraiser, lot's of teams came out this year. Last year we only had 8 teams, this year we have 12 teams, so that's a big improvement at $120 per team. Lot's of support, teams from Saskatoon, Regina, Neilburg, I think it was, so teams are coming from farther distances to play here."

This was the second year the tournament took place.
