"Disbelief."

That was Premier Brad Wall's initial reaction to the mass shooting in La Loche Friday that claimed the lives of four and left several others wounded.

Wall spoke at a news conference Saturday, where he addressed the situation and how the province will help the community move forward.

"Everyday in Saskatchewan, we send our kids to school because its a safe place for them to learn and to grow. Everyday, teachers and teacher aides, because they have a passion for those people, also go to those schools to provide that fostering and education," he stated.

"To have the lives and the futures of these students and staff cut short by this unspeakably horrible event is simply unimaginable. Its unimaginable anywhere."

The Premier will arrive in La Loche Sunday along with Education Minister Don Morgan, Social Services Minister Donna Harpauer, Federal Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale, Assembly of First Nations Grand Chief Perry Bellegarde, as well as FSIN Grand Chief Bobby Cameron.

Wall noted that they will meet with town officials in La Loche, adding that support services are already being offered within the community for those in need.

"Nothing will ever fully heal the loss of four lives and the wound inflicted on an entire community, and really an entire province," he said. "That same province is going to be there for that community and going to be there for the victims and family members to help - in some way - deal with this terrible tragedy."

Members of the community continue to rally in support of the victims. A Gofundme page was created Saturday, with just over $8,000 raised thus far.
