PARTNERS Family Services in Humboldt is looking for people to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes this year.

Registration to sign up for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes wraps up June 2nd.

PARTNERS Family Services Executive Director Hayley Kennedy talks about registrations a little further.

"Registrations have been open since the beginning of May, and we're actually a little bit slow collecting them this year. So our registrations down are a little bit from last year. We are certainly still accepting individuals as well as teams to join our walk next Thursday. Our printed deadline right now is June the 2nd, but we will be accepting registrations right up until our walk time at 11 on the 9th."

The fundraiser goes to support victims of domestic violence and provides aid for those in need.

Kennedy explains how you can register.

"Our registration form is available online at our website at www.partnersfamilyservices.ca and again we will be accepting registration right up until our walk time on the 9th."

Kennedy describes the event for those who are still on the fence about signing up.

"It's really meant to be a fun event for us to come together as a community, raise some much needed funds to provide programming for women and children and individuals in our community who are leaving domestic violence situations. It's an opporitunity to come together as a team, raise some funds, and be part of a dialogue that's really important, that we need to be aware of the needs of the people in our community and we are doing our best to support them."

Registrations will be taken up to the day of the walk despite the deadline.

The walk takes place on June 9th at 11 o'clock.
