The Town of Wadena has implemented a program to help curb the number of stray cats that are present in the town.

There was a town council meeting that took place on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 where the TRN program was passed.TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, and Release. Ferne Hebig, The Chief Administrating Officer for the Town of Wadena said, "It's pretty simple, we catch stray cats, spay and neuter them, and then notch their ears so they're easily identifiable as already having been spayed and neutered, to help control the stray cat population."

The Idea originally came from the Waggin' Wheelz Vet Clinic.
