Vandals have caused $5,000 worth of damage to amenities and infrastructure in Lanigan.

“We’re all proud of our community and to have this stuff continuing to happen is just really disappointing,” administrator Jennifer Thompson said.

A dugout the school was building for the town’s ball diamond was knocked over and couldn’t be fixed.

New speed bumps in the school zone were ripped out and damaged, then damaged again after they were replaced, and a 30 km/h sign in the school zone was pulled out.

Some midnight swimmers pulled down the fence to access the swimming pool after hours.

The incidents happened from around the third week in June to the first week of July.

The vandalism has been reported to the RCMP.
