Richard Ludwig a member of the Public Works Department in Humboldt who was found guilty of sexual assault and sexual interference received his sentencing today. 

Sentencing took place in Saskatoon at the Saskatoon Court of Queen's Bench this afternoon.

Ludwig received the following:

  • Five years in a penitentiary
  • Ten years weapon prohibition
  • Twenty years as a registered sex offender
  • DNA order

The City of Humboldt has suspended indefinitely an employee without pay following his conviction for sexual assault and sexual interference.

Richard Ludwig was in court on Wednesday in Saskatoon where he was found guilty of sexual assault and sexual interference.

The victim was in Ludwig's home as a foster child, she was between four and nine when the incident took place between the years of 2000 to 2005.

The sentencing will take place today at around 3 pm at Saskatoon Court of Queen's Bench.

Richard Ludwig has been with the Public Works Department as a maintenance worker and equipment operator since 1990.
