The City of Humboldt is happy to say that crews are back at work at the uniplex parking lot thanks to the warm and dry weather.

Director of Leisure Services Mike Ulriksen said they are still in the midst of completing the first phase of ground development that began last fall.

"They are going to power through and get as much as they can done for the next three or four days here."

Work will start back up after the Summer Sizzler which begins set up of the midway on Sunday.

The entire north parking lot is expected to be completed by the end of June, "with proper drainage and all of those things so from now on when we get a little bit of a rain we're not gonna have a big mud hole in the north parking lot so we are really excited that this phase is nearing it's completion," Ulriksen explained.

Work began last fall but was halted due to the weather.
