Voting Sask2 MG 1923 W
Voters will stuff the ballot box on April 4, as the 2016 Saskatchewan general election takes place.

The race to election day is about to heat up as Monday marks the two week countdown until Saskatchewan votes in the 2016 general election.

Tuesday is the deadline for voters to get on the registration list to vote in the April 4 election, though if you miss the deadline, you can also register when you head to vote during advance polls or on election day.

If you have yet to register to vote, but want to do so prior to the deadline, you can visit the Elections Saskatchewan website.

Voter identification cards are also on their way to your mailbox. For easing the voting process, it is encouraged to bring your voter card, as well as two pieces of personal identification on voting day.

Also on Tuesday, the four candidates for Humboldt-Watrous will meet up at the Bella Vista Inn for an all-candidates forum. It will be the first opportunity to hear from incumbent MLA Donna Harpauer of the Saskatchewan Party, as well as the NDP's Adam Duke, Lori Ellen Harper of the Green Party, and Liberal Robert Tutka.

The forum will begin at 7:00pm and also feature an opportunity to ask the candidates questions about their platforms.

Advance polls for the election will be held March 29 to April 2.
