A packed legion hall full of Bingo players waited to hear the call of just the right numbers on their cards.

The prizes at this particular bingo game were twenty turkeys, set to add to the lucky winners' holiday spreads this year. There were also two rounds of the game, just for the younger players, who could win kid-friendly prizes.

The principal of St. Dominic's School, Chad Knaus, has lots of positive things to say about this year's event:

"They make it so it's a great time for everyone!"

Knaus says there is fun to be had by all ages at this year's annual St. Dominic School Turkey Bingo.

All the proceeds from the event go right back to the school, and the School Community Council (SCC) hopes to make technology available to the students through the purchase of iPads, as well as using the funds raised to make improvements to the school.

The event was made possible by the efforts of the parent volunteers from the SCC, who donated their time to organize the event and source the prizes.

"Thank you so much to our SCC members that give up their time in this busy holiday time to help our school out, so thank you to them!"
