Partner's Family Services Positive Parenting Program is once again offering a group program starting in April.

The program will consist of 4 sessions as a group and 3 sessions over the phone with each family that participates

Triple P Coordinator Teryn Ulriksen explained who should be part of the program.

"It's available to any parent or caregiver of any children aged 0-12 so if you have kids that you are looking after, if you are a grandparent, if your a first time mom and don't have a kid yet that is totally fine you can come on out, we're more than happy to have anybody that's looking for some extra parenting tips to come out and check the group out and learn some new things."

You can get registered for the program that offers 17 different parenting strategies by calling the Partner's office at 682-4135.

Ulriksen talked about why this is such an important program, "it's not just learning new things but it's also a reminder of the things that we already know, sometimes we just need a reminder to go back to things that we have already tried and maybe just need to try again and also te get the support of other parents knowing that we are not the only ones going through these struggles with our kids."

The program starts on April 7th and will be held at the St. Augustine School library.
