A thunderstorm watch is in effect for Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, and Foam Lake

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.

A low-pressure system is tracking east through southern Saskatchewan this afternoon. The associated cold front will trigger severe thunderstorms later this afternoon. They will track into Manitoba this evening.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, people are advised to get indoors.
