Family is a popular word when it comes to farming in Saskatchewan.

That is the case for Scott Odelein and his family farm near Quill Lake.

The Odelein's have a three generation farm, and having the family around to pitch in is something that they value.

"It's awesome. Everybody gets along and it is nice to have everyone around, looking after each other. It's good."

As for the 2016 harvest, Odelein says steady progress continues to be made.

"It's going pretty good. We have had a pretty good run here, so hopefully the weather stays good until the end. It should be a strong push for the end."

That goes in line with what most of the area is seeing.

In Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report, 65% of the crop has been combined in the region, with 70% complete across the province.

A stretch of warm weather should allow producers to put a large chunk of the remaining crop away.
