It'll be hard to improve on the past year, but the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery will try!

Jenniger Hoesgen with the HDMG quickly outlined the highlights at the gallery.

"Well focusing in on the gallery, we did have a variety of professional and emerging artists and we had a real great line up for pottery, painting, fabric and photography. That (those activities) really came off that survey that we did in early 2015 when we asked the community what they would like to see in their new gallery and we got some great responses and we are just starting to build on that."

Other high points included the multicultural exhibit on the CN station, which features the flags of Humboldt residents home countries.

Hoesgen hopes an upcoming exhibit will get people in the community talking.

"The museum is going to be hosting Big Bert, he's not a real dinosaur but he comes to us from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. He will be home here for about 6 months in 2016. It's sure to cause some great excitement, those exhibits are always great so we look forward to launching that.
