It is what you have been eagerly anticipating since the snow melted - warm temperatures and lots of sunshine.

That is exactly what is in store for the Humboldt area.

"What we have is a developing low to the west that is going to help draw air up from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up into Saskatchewan and it is going to bring really warm temperatures with it," explained Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg.

Normal temperatures for mid-May typically hover around 15 degrees. For a few days though, the area will see temperatures rise into the 20's, all with the sun shining brightly.

Cragg says that while things are turning up for a little while, there is still a possibility of cold temperatures returning in the spring.

"There is still cold air in the arctic that can come streaming down into Saskatchewan in a hurry," he said. "We might not see any snow in May, but don't expect temperatures to stay in the 20's throughout the month."

"We're still going to see some fluctuation throughout the month just by the nature of where we live and the fact that air is still cold up north."

Come Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach the 20's for a period of three or four days.
