The HCI Student Action Squad put on a pancake breakfast Thursday morning.

This was the first project that the Student Action Squad did, Teacher Stacey Jackson said the event was good.

"We had a few community members, it wasn't as big as we had hoped it would be. They sold probably about $300 worth of pancakes and sausage and students and staff were all there to make it a success so it was good."

The Student Action Squad is a new group of students at HCI that raises awarness on social issues, as Jackson Explains.

"We took our SADD group and combined it with the idea that we could make a bigger difference by letting students bring other social issues that they are passionate about to the student body and then try and raise awarenss that way rather than just one cause."

Thursday mornings cause was to raise money to go towards hurricane relief.
