Humboldt residents danced the weekend away at Streetfest, which came to a close Saturday night.

This is the third year for the two-day festival, which wrapped up with One Track Mind as the Saturday night headliner.

Erin Standish is the Humboldt Downtown BID Coordinator.

She talks about what she likes about street fest.

"This event has truly brought the community of Humboldt together. We have had huge attendance over the passed couple of days. An amazing vibe and a wonderful feel, full of great vendors, great shows, great music, and great food."

Standish describes what makes street fest important.

"The goal of the Humboldt Downtown BID is to try and host an event that just showcases the unique talent, vendors, stores and everything that makes Humboldt very special. I think Streetfest is a two-day showcase for this, and there's no other community that could pull it off like this."

Standish explains how this event is made possible.

"The key component to this entire event are the people that sit around the table and the people that put themselves to work to make the event happen. From the sponsors in the children's area, to the businesses themselves that contribute, the performers that are on the stage and the multiple volunteer groups that benefit from volunteering at the event, I think it can definitely not happen without those people."

Many local performers took the stage, including Greg Torwalt, 40 Ounce Philosophy, and Ray Whitton, who performed with One Track Mind.
