It is a quilter's dream in Watson.

The annual Quilt Guild Show is returning to the Watson Civic Centre on Saturday and Sunday.

Organizer Rona Painter says it is always a big hit.

"The quilt show has been going on longer than I have lived in Watson, so over a decade," she noted. "Knock on wood that we get good luck with the weather and we usually have at least three or four hundred people through the door."

Painter says that they are looking forward to having a couple of returning exhibits for this year.

"We've got two amazing vendors coming down - both for the second time at our show," she explained. "Carol Bacon from Kinistino is really well known by quilters, as well as Quilt Works Studio from Foam Lake. They always bring down demos and lots of goodies and it is always a big hit."

In addition to the exhibits of quilts, runners, hangings and more, they have coffee and cookies and other items to give away.

"We do penny auction draws as well as a door prize and then we draw our raffle quilts on Sunday. We've been selling tickets for months and the big draw happens on Sunday."

The show will run from 1:00 to 5:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
