The St. Brieux Drama Club generously donated a $900 cheque to the St. Brieux Fire Department Tuesday night.

Drama Department President Trevor Lindenbach explained the donation.

"Well it was a donation but it was a very earned donation, the fire department did help with tending our bar for our last two licensed events that we had here in St. Brieux."

The fire department has the funds earmarked already said Lindenbach, "they were wearing some pretty ratty coveralls and I think some of those coveralls had one too many holes in them so they decided that they might use those funds for some new gear."

Lindenbach said the clubs spring performance went great and they are hoping to reach some of their own goals.

"We're trying to build up our funds as well we are thinking of buying spotlights and possibly some mics, it would save us from renting every year and every little penny helps as far as to get our feet off the ground," Lindenbach explained.

The drama department's major fundraiser is their Festival of Trees event that is sponsored by local businesses, to aid the club in putting on their annual performance.

He also extended an invite to anyone with interest to join their drama club whether it be performers or they also need individuals to work behind the scenes.
