4 Humboldt Broncos that passed away in the tragic April 6th bus crash are being honored by the community they grew up in. Logan Hunter, Jaxon Joseph, Stephan wack, and Conner Lukan all grew up in the area of St. Albert, Alberta.

The community is looking to honour the 4 players in their own way says Nolan Crouse, The chairman of the committee.

"first of all four park benches are being installed as we speak, one for each player. we have what is called a stick art memorial which is going to go inside one of the arena's...and a significant scholarship program for each player."

To cover the benches, stick memorial, and the 4 long-lasting scholarships for each player, it will around the $500,000 range. One of the larger donations the committee has received was from the Humboldt Memorial Tournament which raised over $42,000.

"20 percent of the money raised in the hockey has gone to the Humboldt strong community foundation and 80 percent of it to the local scholarships," said Crouse.

The committee has raised just over $200,000 so far.

The community of St. Albert felt obligated to take some sort of action after the 4 boys from the area passed away in the tragic accident Crouse said.
