On Sunday, some of Humboldt's newest faces gathered outside the Elizabeth for a day of wintery fun.

Although the snow was not quite sticky enough for snowmen-making, activities such as snow bowling, 3 legged races as well as tobogganing, and much more took its place.

Janine Hart with the Newcomers Centre, on the importance of getting the newer members of our community acquainted with the winter months.

"For some of our clients, it is the first time they are seeing snow, so in that respect, it is very important. The other side of our organization is really about connecting with communities, and we want not only the newcomers to feel welcome to come out, but everyone else as well."

There were around 15-20 in attendance, with all enjoying the snowy festivities.

The weather was in perfect cooperation, as little to no wind made for a day of fun group activities and a great winter atmosphere.
